Leanne Inder: Chief Executive Officer, Wellington
Leanne is an experienced senior leader with experience in the wider social sector in leadership and operational delivery. Leanne has run her own successful management consultancy for the last 15 years where she had led many large scale, complex transformational change initiatives internationally and in New Zealand the public, private and NGO sectors.
Leanne naturally sees the bigger picture and loves to connection people to deliver meaningful outcomes. She is an experienced HR leader and respected for her ability to deliver. The youngest woman to have held a National HR Business Partnerships Director role during her time with the Ministry of Social Development, she was seconded as the HR Director to Child Youth and Family as a member of the CYF Senior Leadership Team where she prepared the organisation for the creation of Oranga Tamariki. This was done in close partnership with the Expert Advisory Panel which was politically appointed. An experienced member of Senior Leadership Teams she prides herself on being people-centred in her approach. She is committed to ongoing learning, she was awarded a scholarship by Victoria University of Wellington to study a Bachelor of Laws in 2020. Leanne already holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a triple major in Management, Human Resources & Industrial Relations, and Commercial Law.
An accredited Gallup StrengthsFinder and Human Synergistics Coach, Leanne continues her coaching work with senior level executives and high performance athletes both here in New Zealand and offshore in Australia, Europe and the USA alongside the work she does for Birthright. Leanne has lived experience of a single parent with 4 children (including twins) who she parents alone. Her children continually remind her to keep her feet firmly embedded on the ground. She is passionate about the long history of Birthright and the importance of growing the understanding of the challenges that our modern day single parent led families experience and ensuring that the needs and voices of children are listened to, and acted upon.
Lynette MacDonald: Finance Manager, Canterbury
Lynette is based in Canterbury and has a long background in financial management and banking. Lynette's approach to her work is consistent with te ao Maori. Not only does Lynette manage all of the finances for us at National Office she also contributes locally our local mahi within the Canterbury community.
