Counselling

The Family Court of New Zealand offers Family Dispute Resolution, which is a mediation service where you work with an independent professional to agree on how you’ll care for your children.

You, your children’s other parent or guardian or anyone else involved in the dispute take part in Family Dispute Resolution together. The aim is to resolve the issues that stop you agreeing on a plan that is in the best interests of your children.

There are also a number of telephone counselling services, which are listed on our home page, while Lifeline and Youthline also offer email counselling support.
