Counselling

The Family Court of New Zealand offers confidential counselling for couples or separated parents who are having problems with their relationship, child care or parenting orders.  The two people can attend sessions together, or they may choose to attend separately.  The Family Court will pay for a maximum of six counselling sessions in each 12 month period.  To access this counselling you need to contact the Family Court Co-ordinator at your nearest Family Court.

Relationship Services has a website that provides a lot of information on the different types of counselling.

There are also a number of telephone counselling services, and Lifeline and Youthline offer email counselling support.
