Barnardos New Zealand
  • Our vision: a society where children can grow up to be caring people and quality parents. Mission: to help NZ children experience a cycle of success through effective care, support and education. Hamilton Citizens Advice Bureau
  • Free friendly, confidential information, on any matter. Advice, advocacy,and support with any concern or problem. Referral to other agencies for specialist advice.

Hamilton Ethnic Womens Centre (Shama)
  • Shama provides info, support, referral &training services for ethnic women and their families. Recognises that ethnic women &their families face many issues including feelings of loneliness being away from extended family, adapting to life in NZ, discrimination, helpless & powerless due to domestic violence, lack of info about services &access to such services. Shama organises holiday programmes for 5-13 year olds, life skills programme for women such as driving, sewing, fitness, English classes, ethnic language maintenance programmes, senior women social network, health workshops, seminars.

Family Works Northern
  • Family Works Northern (formerly known as James Family) is the child and family services division of Presbyterian Support Northern.  They offer counselling and social work services for children and their families.

Link House
  • Link House aims to foster wellbeing and independence in single parent families and offer quality education and counselling to the wider community. Te Whanau Putahi
  • Respite childcare/ social services provider. They provide the community with a toy library, kids clubs, a youth drop-in centre, Respite Care Childcare Centre, literacy programmes, councellors, craft mornings, and they are part of the Hamilton Combined Christian Foodbank.

The Salvation Army - The Nest
  • One stop social services centre offering the following services: counselling, social work, supervised contact, parenting programmes, food bank, ezee meals programme, family home and foster care, family budget service, supervised accomodation, early childhood education centre.

Toughlove (Hamilton) Trust
  • Toughlove is a structured self-help programme for parents who are troubled by unacceptable teenager behaviour such as verbal abuse, stealing, lying, getting into trouble at school, or abusing drugs and/or alcohol. It aims to help families resolve crises and conflicts. The organisation offers weekly meetings, where support is given by other parents in a crisis or otherwise troubled by unacceptable behaviour. The programme empowers them to find their own solutions and to take responsibility for their actions. Thispromotes a healthy community.

Union of Fathers
  • Many fathers lose contact with their children after a marriage breaks up. This can leave them devastated and depressed. We can share our valuable experience in regards to Family Law. We assist members by teaching them how to represent themselves when dealing with issues such as custody, property and child support.

Waikato Family Centre Trust
  • Providing free professional advice to mothers of crying babies, whatever the problem or query may be. We provide teenage mother groups and post natal distress groups.

Lifeline Waikato
  • LifeLine Waikato is a professional telephone counselling service. The service  is provided free of charge and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The reasons people call LifeLine vary greatly and often are multi-faceted. Specific issues include emotional problems, relationships, loneliness, employment stress, grief, finances, physical health, mental health problems and suicide.
