Birthright Ashburton was established in 1966 and has a client base of around 84 families with 172 children.
Support Work:

We have a Fieldworker who works on a professional basis assessing new families’ needs, matching services and referrals as necessary.

Liaison with other agencies and management of the family visitors is part of this pivotal role.

We will help you cut throught the red tape and lend a hand in sorting any stressful issues- so you can get used to and enjoy parenting alone.

Family Visitors:

Each family is assigned its own personal visitor.

These visitors are volunteers and remain with that family for as long either is involved with Birthright.

This is a role which requires total confidentiality and the visitors call once a month to deliver the newsletter and spend a little time with the family.
